Below we show you with a clear and easy step-by-step instructional how to construct a gift basket based on the Port and Stilton festive classic. From as little as 99p for the basket, shred, cellophane and ribbon, you need only add the gifts you wish to give, making this a very cost effective option. All wrapping items available to purchase from stock.
We've chosen the classic Port and Stilton for our basket. Of course, they can be easily substituted if the recipient prefers something less traditional.
Firstly take your basket and fill with the shred making a shallower 'well' to accomodate the products.
Tuck the shred around the items and neaten any strands that may be overhanging.
We've used 80cm wide cellophane and only needed about 50cm in length. Wrap this around the basket.
Seal the cellophane underneath the basket with a little sticky tape. Your basket should now be in a 'tube' of cellophane.
Neatly fold one end of the cellophane and wrap as if you were wrapping a box. Seal underneath again with sticky tape. Do the same with the other end, cutting off any excess first.
Your basket will now be neatly wrapped in cellophane ready for your finishing touches.
Select the ribbons, bows and decorations you'll be using and attach to the basket.
There are plently of colour and embellishment options, here we've added a bunch of artificial grapes too.
